Sharing Shakespeare in Schools

Bring the magic of Shakespeare to life in high school! In an effort to increase student engagement with the works of actor, poet, and playwright William Shakespeare, actors from the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival, in collaboration with local philanthropists Gary and Katherine Parr, are offering a no-cost “Shakespeare Experience” to our schools.

Each production will highlight selected scenes from Shakespeare’s Macbeth through 50-75 minutes of an interactive performance, followed by 10-15 minutes for talk-back (Q & A). The performances must be scheduled during the school day between February 16-27, 2026.

Interested schools may request to host ONE 60-90 minute experience. Schools selected to host a performance must ensure a minimum of 300 students are present for the performance. An audio system with microphones is required. The experience does not require special lighting or effects. Contact Elizabeth@PBShakespeare.org for more information.

Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival will bring its Fall production of Romeo & Juliet to the Kravis Center on October 27-29 as a part of the Center’s educational
S*T*A*R* Series. Educators wishing to bring their students to one of these performances should visit the Kravis Center’s Website.

Consider Donating

Thanks to a few special donors and the PNC ArtsAlive grant, we were able to do this special production with professional actors and technicians and artists working during the COVID-19 pandemic. This allowed us to continue our mission of bringing Shakespeare’s works to life for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status. Unfortunately, the Festival was unable to do our Shakespeare by the Sea program in person, which is where a large portion of our funds come to support our following year’s production.

If you are able to support the Shakespeare Festival in any way, please consider hitting the link below, and making a donation of any amount at this time. The artists, and the community, are truly grateful for your consideration.
