Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival Celebrates 35th Anniversary with 5th Annual Shakespeare by the Palms in January and 35th Annual Shakespeare by the Sea in July
Company to present professional productions of William Shakespeare’s
As You Like It and The Winter’s Tale
Jupiter, Florida (October 01, 2024) The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival, the County’s second longest-running professional performance company, announces its upcoming 2025 season which includes a new date for the Royal Palm Beach Shakespeare by the Palms. This season’s productions include the 5th Annual Shakespeare by the Palms presentation of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It on January 30 – February 2 in Commons Park Amphitheater in Royal Palm Beach, and the 35th Anniversary Shakespeare by the Sea production of The Winter’s Tale on July 10 – 13 & 17 – 20 at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park, Jupiter.
“We are incredibly excited to celebrate 35 consecutive years of bringing free, professional Shakespearean productions to the community,” says Managing Producer, Elizabeth Dashiell. “Thanks to our supporters and partners, our fifth annual Shakespeare by the Palms festival will take place during winter season. We welcome everyone to join us in Commons Park for As You Like It, then celebrate our anniversary production with us during the Shakespeare by the Sea production of The Winter’s Tale this July.”
The season productions schedule includes the Shakespeare by the Palms V production of As You Like It, January 30 – February 2 at the Commons Park Amphitheater in Royal Palm Beach and the Shakespeare by the Sea XXXV production at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park, Jupiter on July 10 – 13 and 17 – 20. All performances start at 8 p.m. and are free with a suggested donation of $5 person.

Shakespeare’s play about the transformative power of love and forgiveness comes to life in this moving tale. King Leontes is blessed with a beautiful queen, a son and a baby daughter-to-be, but he loses them all when his mind becomes poisoned by jealousy. During the bleak spiritual winter that follows, faithful friends and a divine oracle slowly lead him back to sanity and a glorious reunion with those he lost.
